Simpler editing for recurring transactions
11 June 2026Possibility to schedule recurring transactions is among the most popular features of Tailwind. No surprises there – many companies do indeed have outgoing or incoming transactions that repeat every month, quarter or year.
We have now made it much easier to edit a series of recurring transactions. When you edit a transaction that is part of recurring series, upon saving you will be asked to choose whether the changes should apply:
a) only to this particular transaction;
b) to this and all following transactions; or
c) to all transactions in a series.
This makes it easier to adjust only those parts of your forecast that need adjusting. Let’s say, you have agreed with one of your clients to increase your agency’s monthly retainer fee as of September. You can now open the September payment, edit the amount and choose the “this and all following transactions”.
However, if you use drag and drop to adjust the expected dates of certain payments, other payments in the series won’t be affected. Example: you usually pay salaries on 5th date but it is a Sunday this July. You can adjust the July salary payment date to 3rd (previous Friday) but the due date will remain 5th on all following months.
You can also edit tags or notes the same way and choose how should the changes apply.
