What if we DON’T win this client?

What if we DON’T win this important new client as we expect? Or don’t expand the team as planned? Or stop using this supplier?

It is prudent to examine all sorts of “what ifs” when doing your financial planning. This helps make timely decisions and avoid nasty surprises.

But how often have you thought of important scenarios but never tested them because it would have taken hours?

This another example how Tailwind makes planning simple and easy.

Log into your account and choose the In section:

Then, click on the name of the client you want to “stress-test” your forecast for. Click on Hide counterparty:

All transactions with this client will now be hidden – you won’t see them in Cashflow section and they won’t be taken into account when calculating totals in the Dashboard, In, Out and Tags sections.

You can not check your forecast to see what impact would not winning this client have. For example, in the Dashboard you will see expected cash balances for up to 9 months in one screen:

Should you wish to unhide the particular counterparty, go to In / Hidden. Then double-click on the name of the counterparty you want to unhide:

And click on “Show counterparty” in the upper right corner:

It works the same way with suppliers via Out section. You can hide as many counterparties as you wish.
